Little Red Rocket

As an artist, I've primarily worked in sculpture using found objects. There's something about changing an objects history or its inherent value that I am drawn to. I like to invite viewers to re think the way an object is used by giving new life to the discarded. This also plays upon re-purposing and doing more with less, which is just part of who I am as a person. 

The Little Red Rocket carries the same idea. Besides some of the lighting no new materials were purchased for the direct build of this MV. Everything was resourced from reclaimed wood, personal items I wasn't using all that much, and left over art supplies. I collect a lot of things so when I go to create I have something to start with. Everything I had happen to be red and then..it just built itself.
